Target Channel Account Manager (Galanz, Minnesota, USA)
Job OverviewAs Galanz’s local dedicated Account Manager stationed in Minnesota, you will be the single point of contact for all Target retail channel operations for Galanz home appliances. You will independently oversee three core workstreams: replenishment & PO planning, chargeback dispute management, and item setup & system maintenance. You will collaborate closely with Target’s internal teams including inventory analysts and merchandise planners, to guarantee stable supply of Galanz products, smooth payment recovery, compliant product data records, and sustainable long-term partnership with this key major client.Key Job Responsibilities1. Replenishment & Purchase Order (PO) Planning(1)Attend weekly recurring standing meetings with Target’s Inventory Analysts and Merchandise Planners. Complete in-depth pre-meeting preparation including sales performance reviews, demand forecasting and inventory level analysis, and deliver comprehensive analytical reports in advance of each session.(2) Align stocking demand with Target based on data forecasts, secure advance purchase orders for Galanz full-range home appliances, and ensure steady scheduled production and shipment.(3) Monitor channel inventory turnover continuously, identify fast-selling and slow-moving SKUs proactively, and submit replenishment, stock transfer and liquidation proposals to Target planning teams to avoid stockouts or overstock risks.(4)Coordinate production schedules with Galanz domestic manufacturing facilities in China, balance Target order lead times, and resolve supply-demand mismatches.2. Chargeback Administration & Dispute Resolution Process(1)Take full ownership of all chargeback documents generated from Target’s retail operations; verify deduction reasons, amounts and supporting documents, and screen all eligible chargebacks for formal dispute appeals.(2)Drive and push all valid dispute cases through Target’s internal appeal workflow to recover unjustified deductions for Galanz.(3)Maintain consistent relationship management with Target’s finance and operation teams to streamline the chargeback resolution cycle, as Target typically has severely delayed settlement timelines for all chargeback amounts.(4)Summarize monthly chargeback root causes, compile analytical reports, and propose preventive optimization plans to reduce future unnecessary deductions.3. Item Setup & Ongoing Master Data Maintenance(1) Take full end-to-end ownership of the entire Target system item setup and maintenance process as assortments, product lines and individual SKUs are updated iteratively.(2) Complete all system submissions for new item creation, including all supporting minor updates, parameter edits, certification uploads and barcode information maintenance for newly launched Galanz appliances.(3)Conduct regular audits of all live Galanz SKU data within Target’s backend system, correct inconsistent or outdated product information timely, and ensure 100% data compliance with Target’s merchandise system standards.Job Qualifications & Requirements1. Location Requirement: Resident of Minnesota, USA, able to commute to Target’s regional office on a weekly basis for on-site meetings.2. Industry Background: Minimum 5 years of retail vendor account management experience, with direct working experience supporting such as Target; home appliance category experience is a strong plus.3. Core Competencies- Strong data analysis skills: Capable of analyzing sales history, inventory levels and demand trends independently to build accurate sales forecasts.- Dispute negotiation capability: Familiar with retail chargeback rules, able to communicate and negotiate with retail finance teams to resolve deduction disputes effectively.- System operation proficiency: Hands-on experience with retail merchandise item setup, SKU master data maintenance and retailer backend management systems.4. Language & Soft Skills- Native fluent English; basic Mandarin communication ability is highly preferred to align with Galanz China headquarters.- Excellent cross-team communication, organizational skills and detail-oriented mindset; able to prepare comprehensive pre-meeting analytical materials independently.- Strong client relationship management skills, patient and persistent in long-cycle deduction follow-up work.5. Other Requirements- Able to attend weekly fixed in-person meetings with Target’s inventory and planning teams, and adjust schedules to accommodate Target’s business rhythm.- Able to coordinate cross-regional communication between U.S. local teams and China manufacturing teams to synchronize order and production information.
