manufacturer in Turkey, also 4th biggest manufacturer in Europe with 10 million ton crude steel

production capacity per year, with the product range consist of hot rolled coil, cold rolled coil,

galvanized coil, heavy plate, tin plate, billet and wire rod.

My responsibilities in Erdemir are;

♦ Managing foreign sales and marketing activities for flat products to a wide range of clients

across Europe, Middle East & North Africa and South East Asia regions. Main customer

portfolio is re-rollers, pipe manufacturers, automotive industry and white goods industry.

♦ Managing area sales team.

♦ Managing the trading portfolio and implement trading strategies to improve sales volume.

♦ Managing approximately 500 million Usd annual sales revenue.

♦ Following all economical and political issues that can effect steel trade and creating sales

and marketing strategies accordingly.

♦ Creating new global sales network for flat products and visiting them regularly.

♦ Attending trade fair and conferences.

♦ Reporting to senior management with regard to market potential and trends.

♦ Responsible for Sales & Marketing activities of flat steel products in assigned regions

(Spain & Portugal & Benelux).

♦ Managing of business development in Antwerp region by keeping stock regularly and

distributing to regional key customers in automotive industry.

♦ Responsible for improving the relationships with the current accounts and trying to add

new customers to the portfolio for export.

♦ Meeting and/or exceeding individual and company sales targets.

♦ Catching up market conditions very closely and identifying sales prospects.

♦ Managing quality and consistency of sales activities in assigned destinations.

♦ Preparing all sales offers and contracts.

♦ Keeping all the coordination among operation, shipping and finance department.

Bimeks Celik is sister company of Rodacciai Group – Italy and operating in the field of bright

special steel bars (carbon steels, alloy steels and stainless steels). Bimeks Celik is also trading

hot rolled steel bars by exporting from Turkey, also by exporting from other sources out of Turkey.

The main fields that Bimeks Celik supply material are; automotive, defense, oil & gas and

machining industries.

My responsibilities in Bimeks Celik were;

♦ To manage foreign sales activities and export operations from begining to end (having

inquiries, preparing quotations, placing order to the manufacturers, following up the

production period, coordinate the logistic activities, bank activities and issuing export

documents acc. to related L/C).

♦ To visit foreign customers regularly in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, Iran to be

able to strength our existing relations, to be able to find new potential customers

(international manufacturers, stockiest), and also to be able to collect market information

regarding our competitors.

♦ To create new international markets.
