Plant Manager for Italy
Responsibilities:
◆ Responsible for the operation of the Factory.
- Develop and execute the factory’s annual business plan, with a focus on filling technology and automatics which engineering to production and testing to technical support (e.g. table machine for traditional aerosol and bag on valve ), ensure delivery of all KPIs (revenue, lead time, technical compliance) assigned by shareholder.
- Monitor industry trends in industrial automation (e.g., digital twins, collaborative robotics) and lead the planning & implementation of smart manufacturing upgrades for the factory.
◆ Production Management and Quality Control (Industrial Automation Focus).
- Establish production management systems tailored to industrial automation equipment manufacturing, optimize flexible production workflows, and balance standardization and customization efficiency for bespoke automation solutions.
- Drive lean production practices in automation equipment lines: leverage modular product design and digital production control to reduce costs and lead times for non-standard automation products.
- Oversee end-to-end quality control for automation equipment: design standardized processes for incoming inspection of core components, assembly, debugging, and factory acceptance testing (FAT); ensure compliance with EU certifications (e.g., CE, Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC).
◆ Technical & Line Capability Building
- Plan, upgrade, and manage the factory’s automated production infrastructure (e.g., smart assembly lines, auto-test stations, MES systems) to enhance in-house manufacturing automation levels.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to iterate production processes for automation equipment and resolve technical bottlenecks in mass production.
◆ Team Building and Employee Management.
- Build a cross-functional production team with expertise in automation equipment manufacturing and line management; organize skill training on industrial control system.
- Design performance incentives based on automation-specific metrics; conduct regular skill assessments to support talent pipeline development for the automation field.
◆ Cost Control and Resource Management.
- Manage maintenance and predictive upkeep of automated production equipment; establish emergency response mechanisms for equipment failures to ensure line continuity.
- Optimize the supply chain for automation equipment: build a tiered supplier system for core components to balance cost, lead time, and supply stability.
◆ Communication and Coordination.
- Align R&D, supply chain, and after-sales teams to resolve cross-functional challenges (e.g., translating custom automation requirements into production processes, pre-training for after-sales technical support).
- Ensure compliance with EU safety & environmental standards in automation equipment production; lead factory safety automation upgrades (e.g., equipment safeguards, smart monitoring systems).
Requirements:
◆ Bachelor's degree or above in relevant majors such as industrial engineering, automation, mechanical engineering.
◆ More than 5 years of senior management experience in manufacturing enterprises, familiar with production operations with mechanical equipment and management, and possessing lean production concepts and practical experience;
◆ Have strong organizational and coordination capabilities, communication skills, and team management abilities;
◆ Honest, open, mature, confident, have a high degree of professionalism, good teamwork spirit, and strong stress resistance;
◆ Fluent in English and Italian.
