Responsible for leading teams in the execution of buy-side due diligence and some sell-side preparatory due diligence on primarily financial services targets, primarily banking and specialty finance targets. Deal size ranging from $20 to $500 million.
· Rated a “1” (the highest rating ofa1through 5 scale) for the manager group during my first review with the firm. Group is comprised of eight total managers, and I was the only individual selected for top marks.
· Clients have included both private equity clients, both regional and major firms, and significant corporate buyers. Due diligence was focused on targets within the financial services industry and have included insurance companies, banks, brokers, credit card companies, mutual fund investment firms and various other service type entities in the US and other countries. Targets have included large public companies to sole proprietorships
· Analyzed quality of earnings, quality of the financial position, working capital, debt and debt like analysis, synergy quantifications, EBITDA driver analysis, and other business and financial analysis based on accounting knowledge, industry, and business knowledge and data analysis.
· Provided technical accounting recommendations regarding purchase accounting, non-controlling interests, pro forma earnings, etc.
· Prepared and reviewed projection models and performed budget to actual to projection analysis and scrutinized base assumptions used. Provided commentary around purchase and sale agreements
